Meet Carrie A. Mitchell
Carrie A. Mitchell is an American-Canadian storyteller, creator, entrepreneur, and leader working at the intersection of culture, content, and creative communications. Her two decades working across North American + European markets covers media, entertainment, tech, luxury travel and lifestyle industries. She brings creativity and a global lens to brands and multimedia platforms with cultural foresight, conceptual imagination, and an international network.
Carrie founded CMMedia, Co-Founded Age Box Ventures, and is a writer, author, creator, podcaster, presenter, and producer. Carrie works internationally, having traveled extensively and spent chapters in New York City, Los Angeles, Vancouver, and London. She was previously the Chief Communications Officer at Sonder Communications, Senior Director of Communications at the Four Seasons Hotels UK Collection and Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills, Head of Communications at Bartle Bogle Hegarty, and sat on the Board of Directors at Rodeo Drive. She has won awards including the digital SMITTY award from Travel + Leisure, the Pinnacle PR award from Four Seasons, and was repeatedly listed to PR Week’s Power Book. Her portfolio has included projects with Condé Nast, Hearst, Forbes, Skift, Viking Cruises, Four Seasons Hotels, Marriott Hotels, Hilton Hotels, Outdoorsy, Wolfgang Puck, Tiffany & Co, Canada Tourism .

As a multimedia storyteller, Carrie covers culture, travel, and women’s stories as a writer, author, podcaster, presenter, and content producer. She hosts the Pop Passport series, previously the Travel Oracles podcast, created the CMMedia substack, and her writing has appeared in Condé Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure, Vogue, The New Yorker, BBC, Forbes, Skift, and more. She also wrote the children’s travel book “To Be We: The Adventures of Owen and Lucy”, and two novels (so far). From her first internship at Seventeen Magazine, to the many collaborations over the years, writing, media and content creation have always been a significant part of her career.
Carrie holds degrees from the University of British Columbia and Fielding Graduate University, along with additional certifications from other leading educational institutions, lectures on media literacy, and is pursuing further education to expand into psychology studying the impact of media + technology on mental health and behavior. Carrie is passionate about connecting people, places and purpose, and championing women, which is fundamental to her work, entrepreneurial projects, writing, and mentoring.
